What a year it’s been! We decided to celebrate our FIRST full year as a small Oregon Startup right here in our home state. What better way to say “thank you” to our biggest supporters and friends of the brand than to throw a good ol’ fashioned dance party, right?
We got down and steamy at Summer Lake Hot Springs for the first annual Metolius Magic Show! This year’s event first consisted of a pretty epic lineup of local Oregon musicians, including some of our favorites - Marv Ellis, Free Creatures, Eric LeadBetter and Emily Terrestrial. These guys absolutely rocked the night away, two nights in a row out at Summer Lake. They literally blew the barn doors off! We were lucky enough to be able to enjoy all Summer Lake has to offer as Metolius rented out the entire hot springs resort for just our friends, family and fans for the entire fun-filled weekend.
Of course, we focused heavily on our wellness, soaking in the natural hot springs provided by Mother Nature herself. The resort includes several natural hot springs, including a giant spring-fed pool that was built in the original barn structure on the property in the early 1900’s, and still stands today. The location of Summer Lake is truly breathtaking, you’ve truly have to see it to believe it. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, high desert landscape and bountiful nature in the Oregon Outback, there was no shortage of activities to enjoy for the weekend. The property offers a healing retreat, anchored in its history of ancient artesian mineral hot springs. Summer Lake stewards a gorgeous property just 2 hours southeast of Bend, featuring lodging in rustic cabins that are all geothermally heated. They pride themselves on green building & design, and provide guests with “the opportunity to truly live in balance with nature.” All of the cabins and buildings harness energy with renewable resources, and are built efficiently with repurposed/recycled materials.
